It's been a while since I last posted, it's been a busy season. Things have quieted down a little which gives us time to catch up with some little jobs over the winter months. I'm very excited over our next project: refurbishment of room 1. This room is our largest and has panoramic views over St Austell bay which is stunning and so it deserves a 5* refurbisment. Apart from a fresh new decor the ensuite is having a complete overhaul. New light fittings, soft furnishings but best of all a beautiful handmade bespoke bed. Beautiful barley twist carvings and inlays. I could go on and on gushing about the new room but I suggest you check back with us for the new photo's that will update our website in the coming months! I am quite confident all our guests will be asking for this room!

Apart from room 1's refurbishment there is a lot more going on at Edenview. I am having trouble sourcing new cups & saucers for the rooms. Plain white?? I want something far prettier for my guests. New table linens and as always sourcing the best local produce for our hearty breakfasts.

I'm so looking forward to the start of the new season and welcoming new and old guests to Edenview. But don't forget we are still open, you wouldn't know any refurbishment is going on as it's all behind closed doors.

The Eden Project is still open in the winter months with lots to see and they have also reopened their undercover outdoor ice rink again so why not book a short break for the family as there is something for everyone at the Eden Project his winter.

The new season went off with a banging start. Easter weekend is upon us and we have been fully booked for weeks. As always lovely people have come and gone, several returning vistors from previous years.

Excellent news The Eden Project has announced their new Eden Sessions line up. They are as follows:

JULY 10th 2007 RUFUS WAINWRIGHT

JULY 17th 2007 AMY WHITEHOUSE

JULY 18th 2007 LILY ALLEN

JULY 21st 2007 BRIGHT EYES

As I am sure you will agree a fantastic line up for July. August has yet to be announced but I am sure it will just as impressive. We have already had several booking and enquiries for the above dates but do still have some availibility at the time of writing. With Edenview being so close (we sit out on the patio and listen to the concerts!) we are an ideal base for people attending Eden Sessions. Within walking distance in fact!

Keep checking back for further updates. As soon as August sessions arw announced they will be put up on both our blog and website

THE SUN SHINES ON EDENVIEW & THE EDEN PROJECT

www.eden-project.org.uk

What an improvement a day makes! Our new guests arrived yesterday. So disheartening to arrive at your holiday destination with the wind blowing a gale & the heavens opening but today when they pulled back the curtains they were met with our magnificent view of St Austell Bay and the Sun shining brightly. I always feel disappointed for guests when it pours with rain during their stay. Where we can make them comfortable and welcome we have no jurisdiction over the weather sadly!

It's always nice to get feedback from guests. Whether good or Bad (thankfully we have never had the misfortune of the latter!!). I feel it helps us make Edenview a place people want to recommend or visit again. Our guests today told us that we had restored their faith in B&B's. Now that was a compliment and a half. So off they went this morning to visit the Eden Project after a hearty full English breakfast and lots of chat with us over breakfast.

People must be starting to think about their breaks later in the year, our new website (as well as the old) have been getting a lot of hits, our email server has been kept busy as have the telephone with bookings. Our family rooms are always the first to get booked and sometimes up to a year in advance. Some dates this year are fully booked already.

EDENVIEW SELLS EDEN PROJECT TICKETS!!!

Great News! Edenview Bed & Breakfast is pleased to announce it's affiliation with the Eden Projects booking system. We are now able to access their booking system and book tickets for our guests direct meaning no queues just straight to the fast track desk. It's something we have been wanting to do for a long time but the only option was to buy tickets and hold them here, with such a selection of different tickets , adult, family, seniors, students etc it wasn't very feasible. Not only can we provide tickets to visit the Eden Project but tickets for Ice Skating during the winter months and different festivals they have throughout the year e.g A time for gifts. We are hoping this booking system might extend to the Eden Sessions eventually meaning we could book tickets for guests who come to stay with us to watch the concerts Eden Stages during the Summer months. All I can say is watch this space!!

We are very busy here at Edenview, the season is about to start soon. At the moment we have a few guests trickling through. It gives us chance to get everything ready and organised. It's been a quiet winter and we are looking forward to meeting all the new guests that come from all over the world and different walks of life.

NEW EDENVIEW WEBSITE!!!!! Near the Eden Project

This is my first attempt at a blog so forgive me before I start! I have just built a new website for our Bed & Breakfast next to the World Famous EDEN PROJECT, It's my first attempt (yes another) at building a website and if I say so myself it's not bad for an amateur. Having used guest houses and bed & breakfasts ourselves as a family I guess I know what I was looking for in a website. Lots of photo's and lots of information and hopefully that's what I have done.

The quiet winter season gave us the oppurtunity to freshen up, redecorate and add a new ensuite to one of the rooms. Of course I then had the terrible job of shopping for new soft furnishing....so tiresome.

I am very pleased with our new addition. Another Family room. We already have one very large family room which sleeps a family of four (1 king-size bed & 2 single beds) this room got booked in advance very quickly so we desperately needed another. So the new family room was completed just a few weeks ago. Decorated throughout in Neutral tones, plenty of storage space. TV/VCR with Freeview. As with all of our rooms a complimentary refreshment basket is provided along with the tea & coffee making facilities.

The new ensuite for this Family room has a unique tile design with mosaic. It's bath has a shower over, lovely for a nice long soak after a busy day sightseeing or refreshing shower in the morning. Fresh towels are provided daily and a selection of complimentary toiletries also.

I'm just waiting for the weather to warm up a bit so I can get outside and start planting up all my tubs. We are looking for some new patio furniture for the guests who like to sit outside and look at the beautiful views we have up here in our elevated position. Nothing beats a sea view.

Well im going to end my first blog here. Thanks for reading. I will be back soon with more news from Edenview.
