Colour Explosion and Easter
April 4 - April 19

Potential Picassos, might-be Monets and wannabe Warhols are invited to paint to their art's content at the Eden Project this Easter. It's your chance to put mops, sponges, hands, plungers and brooms to paint and paper in a giant explosion of vibrant colour.

April 10 - June 30
Eminent artist Anthony Eyton exhibits 10 years of work at Eden
World-renowned artist Anthony Eyton has opened an exhibition of his work charting the construction and evolution of the Eden Project on April 10. The exhibition, entitled Evolution of a Cornish Clay Pit, features more than 30 works ranging from the russet and grey vista of the empty pit, through the cranes, workmen and gargantuan scaffolds of the Big Build period to scenes from Eden as we know it now.
Royal Academician Anthony has been painting Eden since he was introduced to Bodelva pit – the former china clay pit in which the project was built - by Eden’s Chief Executive Tim Smit in August 1996. Tim had been impressed with Anthony’s paintings of the construction of the Tate Modern in London and persuaded the artist to chart the building of Eden. Anthony has been the project’s Artist in Residence since 1999.

It's been a while since I last posted, it's been a busy season. Things have quieted down a little which gives us time to catch up with some little jobs over the winter months. I'm very excited over our next project: refurbishment of room 1. This room is our largest and has panoramic views over St Austell bay which is stunning and so it deserves a 5* refurbisment. Apart from a fresh new decor the ensuite is having a complete overhaul. New light fittings, soft furnishings but best of all a beautiful handmade bespoke bed. Beautiful barley twist carvings and inlays. I could go on and on gushing about the new room but I suggest you check back with us for the new photo's that will update our website in the coming months! I am quite confident all our guests will be asking for this room!

Apart from room 1's refurbishment there is a lot more going on at Edenview. I am having trouble sourcing new cups & saucers for the rooms. Plain white?? I want something far prettier for my guests. New table linens and as always sourcing the best local produce for our hearty breakfasts.

I'm so looking forward to the start of the new season and welcoming new and old guests to Edenview. But don't forget we are still open, you wouldn't know any refurbishment is going on as it's all behind closed doors.

The Eden Project is still open in the winter months with lots to see and they have also reopened their undercover outdoor ice rink again so why not book a short break for the family as there is something for everyone at the Eden Project his winter.

The new season went off with a banging start. Easter weekend is upon us and we have been fully booked for weeks. As always lovely people have come and gone, several returning vistors from previous years.

Excellent news The Eden Project has announced their new Eden Sessions line up. They are as follows:

JULY 10th 2007 RUFUS WAINWRIGHT

JULY 17th 2007 AMY WHITEHOUSE

JULY 18th 2007 LILY ALLEN

JULY 21st 2007 BRIGHT EYES

As I am sure you will agree a fantastic line up for July. August has yet to be announced but I am sure it will just as impressive. We have already had several booking and enquiries for the above dates but do still have some availibility at the time of writing. With Edenview being so close (we sit out on the patio and listen to the concerts!) we are an ideal base for people attending Eden Sessions. Within walking distance in fact!

Keep checking back for further updates. As soon as August sessions arw announced they will be put up on both our blog and website
